Candle-Making
Workshop

Santa Clara, CA – On July 20, 2024, Erguvan Studio held its biggest Candle-Making Workshop yet in Santa Clara, California. The workshop, led by the incredible artists Zeynep and Leyla, brought together around 30 enthusiastic participants for a day of creativity and connection.

The Workshop Experience

Zeynep guided participants through the process of making two unique candles each using essential oils and various colors in a single candle. The workshop had a special twist compared to the NJ candle-making workshop: participants had the opportunity to write secret messages using letter beads and embed them in their candles. The detailed instructions provided by the instructors ensured that everyone, regardless of their prior experience, could create beautiful and meaningful candles.

The use of letter beads added a personal touch to the creations, as many participants chose to make their candles as gifts for family, friends, and loved ones. Some participants decided to ornament their candles with live flower decorations on the table, showing us once again that the decorations will keep being a part of the final creation in Erguvan Studio’s workshops.

Cool Snacks, Cool Vibes

To beat the scorching summer heat, attendees were treated to refreshing watermelon slices and ice cream, which added to the lively atmosphere. The participants were also delighted with the popcorn. As we have observed from our previous workshops, larger food selections lengthen the workshop by a considerable amount, so we opted for a select few refreshments. The ambiance was vibrant, with many of Erguvan Art & Academy’s members from out of town joining locals to spread the unique Erguvan spirit. The workshop was filled with constant laughter and conversation as participants conversed with each other while working on their candles and enjoying treats.

Looking Ahead

The workshop received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with participants praising the innovative approach and the opportunity to create personalized gifts. Erguvan Studio is excited to bring this workshop to other communities, continuing to spread creativity and connection through art.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this wonderful event. Your participation and enthusiasm made it truly special. Stay tuned for more updates and events from Erguvan Studio as we continue to harness the transformative power of art to build bridges, spark conversations, and illuminate the world with creativity and connection.
