Ceramics Workshop
On July 6th, 2024, Erguvan Art Studio hosted a memorable Ceramic Workshop at 450 Warren Ave, East Providence, RI. With 15 enthusiastic participants, including guests from Boston and New Jersey, the event was a beautiful blend of creativity, learning, and community spirit.
The Workshop Experience
Participants gathered to craft stunning leaf-pressed clay jewelry dishes using air-dry clay. Under the expert guidance of Şebnem, the workshop kicked off with a warm introduction and a live demonstration. To enhance visibility and understanding, Şebnem’s demonstrations were projected onto a large screen, allowing everyone to follow the intricate steps closely.
Creative Breaks and Culinary Delights
The workshop wasn’t just about creating art; it was also about fostering connections. A delightful array of refreshments was provided, including a unique and well-loved hibiscus and diamond fruit juice. The food selection, though plentiful, was a hit among attendees, making the breaks as enjoyable as the crafting sessions.
Personal Touches and Memorable Moments
As the participants immersed themselves in their creative endeavors, they were encouraged to experiment with the materials, leading to a variety of beautiful, personalized pieces. The use of fresh flowers for decoration, though a new approach, added a special touch to many creations, even if some concerns about their longevity were noted.
One of the most heartwarming moments of the day came when a participant extended an invitation for future workshops to be held at her cultural center, highlighting the strong connections being formed within our community.
Polaroid Memories
To add a special memento to the day, Dilara captured polaroid pictures of the participants and their creations. These snapshots were available for purchase and brought smiles to many faces, serving as a tangible memory of a day well spent.
Looking Ahead
Feedback from the workshop was overwhelmingly positive, with participants expressing their enjoyment and gratitude. Suggestions for improvement were noted, and the Erguvan team is committed to enhancing future workshops based on these valuable insights.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this wonderful event. Your participation and enthusiasm make these gatherings truly special. We look forward to many more artistic adventures together!
