Ramadan Iftar Dinner in Kansas City

On March 23, 2025, Erguvan was proud to be part of the Ramadan Iftar dinner hosted at Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City, Missouri. This special event brought the community together to share meals and experience a meaningful cultural celebration.

A dedicated space at the event showcased TREEDOME, an installation that combined symbolic elements with interactive art. The display featured a tree and baby shoes, accompanied by a powerful message: “What the eye does not see cannot move the heart.” This theme was explored further through coffee painting, where attendees were encouraged to create their own interpretations of eyes using coffee and other artistic materials. The artwork prompted reflection on the depth of perception and the power of unseen emotional connections.

Kari O’Rourke, a member of Erguvan’s Board of Directors, facilitated and organized the event. It was a beautiful gathering that embodied the spirit of unity, understanding, and creativity.

“When we join together in shared purpose, we amplify one another’s strength.”
— Adrienne Maree Brown, Emergent Strategy
