On September 28, Erguvan members celebrated National Good Neighbor Day by preparing small gifts for the people living around them.
Samiye Has, an Erguvan member from New Jersey, designed two cards for the occasion. Mercan in Pennsylvania, Leyla and Nermin in California, Rengin in Las Vegas, and Samiye in New Jersey then each found their own way to prepare something for their neighbors, with colorful gift boxes and Turkish delight to homemade cookies, mugs, and hand-decorated notes.
The fun part was that the gifts all looked different and had each member’s personal touches. But the idea behind them was the same: to show that we think about our neighbors, knock on their doors, introduce ourselves, and say hello.
Thank you to all of our neighbors, and to everyone who has supported Erguvan along the way. You truly make the Erguvan family a sweeter place.
