Maqam Presentation at Rutgers University

Mercan Kuloğlu and Meryem Cicek gave a presentation on maqam at Rutgers University, introducing listeners to the structure and feeling of this musical tradition.

As part of the session, Meryem also performed on the oud, offering a live example of the sounds and expressions discussed in the presentation.
