Network8 at the Rutgers Involvement Fair

On a vibrant day at Rutgers University, Network 8 participated in the annual Involvement Fair, connecting with the campus community and sharing our vision for the upcoming semester. Our booth served as a creative hub where art, dialogue, and community care came together.

The fair was an incredible opportunity to introduce Network 8 to thousands of students. We were inspired by the energy of the newcomers and the diverse interests shared at our table.

  • Painting with Coffee: In the spirit of Erguvan’s tradition of unique workshops, we invited students to experiment with coffee as a medium. This sensory-rich activity allowed participants to pause the rush of the fair and create earthy, aromatic art.
  • Zine Exploration: We showcased a variety of zines, sparking conversations about self-expression, grassroots storytelling, and the importance of youth-led platforms.
  • A Growing Community: We were thrilled to welcome many new faces into the Network 8 family. Throughout the day, we discussed upcoming projects and learned how each new member’s unique background can contribute to our collective mission.

The Involvement Fair was just the beginning. We have an exciting lineup of activities planned that continue our focus on art and advocacy:

  • Treedom Project: Stay tuned for the launch of Treedom, a sound-based initiative exploring resilience and global justice.
  • Zine Workshop: A hands-on session where members will learn to design and produce their own collaborative publications.
  • Museum Field Trip: We will be heading to the Museum of the City of New York to explore urban history and the intersection of art and social change.
