As part of preparing for the opening of the Erguvan Art Center, several members of our team visited the Davis Arts Center’s Family Open Studio to experience another community-centered creative space.
Our artists spent the afternoon exploring the studio, experimenting with a wide variety of materials, and creating artwork alongside families from the local community.
This event reminded us of the importance of providing accessible creative spaces where people can experiment and enjoy making art together. Many of the ideas and observations from this visit will help shape the welcoming environment we hope to build at the Erguvan Art Center.
