Internship Field Trip: A Day in San Francisco

On August 21, the Erguvan Art & Academy summer internship team took a one-day trip to San Francisco. The day started early with a drive from Davis and included stops at several well-known spots in the city.

The first stop was the Golden Gate Bridge, where students took photos and walked around the area. While the group was near the water, Osman Emre saw a fisherman and managed to catch a fish with him.

Afterward, the group visited the Lucasfilm Studios lobby, where some props from the Star Wars movies were on display. Only the lobby is open to the public, but it was a short and memorable stop.

They then walked to the Palace of Fine Arts, where they spent time around the dome structure. The echo in the space made it easy to hear each other, and some students sang short tunes that carried through the structure.

The group’s next stop was Chinatown, where they walked through the streets, looked inside shops, and got coffee or ice cream.

Before returning to Davis, the group made a final stop at Treasure Island, where they took photos and had a brief rest before heading back on the road.

The trip gave students a chance to spend time together outside of the internship schedule and explore some parts of the Bay Area they hadn’t seen before.
