On March 1, 2025, the Erguvan Collective hosted an online event dedicated to Hasan Çelebi, a renowned calligrapher whose contributions to Islamic calligraphy have had a significant impact on the art world.
The event focused on Hasan Çelebi’s life and work, providing a closer look at his unique approach to calligraphy and his significant influence on contemporary Islamic art. Participants also explored examples of his calligraphy and discussed his techniques and contributions to the field.
Hasan Çelebi was known as the “Hattatların Çelebisi” (The Prince of Calligraphers). His work is characterized by its precision and emotional depth, which continues to influence the study and practice of calligraphy today.
