Network8 Collective at USC Upstate Fall 2024 Premiere Fair

At the USC Upstate Fall 2024 Premiere Fair, the Network8 Collective showcased its ongoing projects and introduced new opportunities for students to get involved. The organization, which follows the motto “Art with Purpose,” aims to provide a platform for individuals to make a positive impact through artistic expression.

During the fair, Network8 highlighted its focus on themes such as human rights, sustainability, and environmental issues, encouraging students to engage in projects that extend beyond the classroom. Through its activities, the collective teaches members how to connect with one another and apply the values of Network8 in their work.

One key initiative featured at the event was Treedome, an art project that raises awareness about childhood imprisonment at the U.S.-Mexico border. The project represents Network8’s commitment to addressing important social issues and providing a space for students to create art that matters.

Visitors at the fair had the chance to learn more about Network8’s work, ask questions, and sign up to participate in upcoming projects. The event provided a welcoming space for students to connect with others who share similar interests and values.

“The function of art is to do more than tell it like it is—it’s to imagine what is possible.”
