Winter 2022: A Fun-Filled Week at the Hotel

December 22-30, 2022

From December 22rd to 30th, 2022, Erguvan Art & Academy joined Bay Area Cultural Centers for a hotel-based winter retreat. This event focused on creating a memorable week for both children and families using art!

The camp was packed with all kinds of exciting art activities. Here are some of the highlights:

  • T-Shirt Painting: Children used fabric paints to create their own custom designs on the t-shirts we designed for them. While some chose to fill in the shapes, others went ‘outside the box,’ extending our linework into imaginative new forms. Some even completely deviated from the original designs, opting for tie-dye-style color mixing experiments.

  • Engaging Storytelling Sessions

  • Collage Art: The “Big Collage” activity encouraged teamwork as children made a massive collective piece of art that brought together their different styles and techniques.

  • Movie Night: The week wrapped up with a cozy Movie Night, where families gathered to watch a family-friendly movie and unwind together.

“Who Are We?” Info Session

In addition to the art activities, Erguvan hosted a special “Who Are We?” evening to introduce camp participants and their families to the mission and work of Erguvan Art & Academy.

Exploring the City

The fun didn’t stop at the hotel—Erguvan also organized city explorations. These trips were food-focused this time around. Visits included the Golden Gate Bridge, Treasure Island, Lonely Cypress, and Downtown Napa.

Stay tuned for upcoming camps, activities, and more exciting news from Erguvan Art & Academy!
